Panelists: CADCA Coalition Advisory Committee Members, Mike Lopez & Kevin McCloskey Preventing Substance Misuse among LGBTQ+ Youth through Peer and Community Support
This webinar will offer ways to work with and support LGBTQ+ youth, specifically youth ages 12 – 24. Presenters will address the specific needs of LGBTQ+ youth and how adult professionals can create safe and affirming spaces. Participants will have the opportunity to work through scenarios related to approaching youth on complex issues and identify current and needed safe spaces in your agency and community. National resources will be provided to offer participants tools for youth in rural, suburban, and urban environments.
